Glow Wire Tester
to test the resistance to fire of insulating parts and assesses the susceptibility of
electrical insulating materials to ignition as a result of exposure to a glowing wire
according to IEC 60695-2-10: Glowing/hot-wire based test methods - Glow-wire
apparatus and common test Procedure ASTM D6194: Standard Test Method for
Glow-Wire Ignition of Materials UL746A: Testing for the resistance to ignition of
polymeric materials.IEC 60950-1, IEC 60335-1, IEC 60884-1, IEC 60238, IEC
60695-2-11, IEC 60695-2-12, IEC 60745-1, IEC 60400, IEC 60730-1, IEC 60598-1, IEC
61050, IEC 60320-1, IEC 61058-1, IEC 60742, IEC 60669-1.
This test method determines the minimum temperature required to ignite a material
by the effect of a glowing heat source, under the specified conditions of test. Inside
the Glow Wire Test Apparatus, a resistance wire (glow-wire) is electrically heated to a specified temperature which is adjustable.The specimen is brought into contact with the glow-wire by a motor-driven sliding carriage. At the end of a prescribed
time the specimen is automatically returned to the starting position.
Observations and measurement are made to evaluate the Glow Wire Flammability
Index (GWFI) and Glow Wire Ignition Temperature (GWIT) presented by the
specimen during exposure to elevated temperatures.

灼熱絲試驗是IEC60695-2-10、UL746A等標(biāo)準(zhǔn)規(guī)定使用無火焰起燃源程序仿真試驗項目。
同時也符合IEC60950-1,IEC60335-1,IEC60884-1,IEC60238,IEC60695-2-11,IEC 60695-2-12,IEC60745-1,IEC60400,IEC60730-1,IEC60598-1,IEC61050,IEC60320-1,IEC610 58-1,IEC60742,IEC604 69-1標(biāo)準(zhǔn)要求。
該試驗方法明確了在規(guī)定的試驗條件下,通過大電流加熱的作用點燃材料所需的最低溫度,在灼熱絲測試裝置內(nèi),電阻絲(灼熱絲)被電加熱到可調(diào)節(jié)的指定溫度;通過電機(jī)驅(qū)動的滑動支架使試樣與電熱絲接觸;在規(guī)定時間結(jié)束時,試樣會自動返回到起始位置;進(jìn)行觀察和測量,以評估試樣在暴露于高溫期間呈現(xiàn)的灼熱絲起燃溫度(GWFI)和灼熱絲可燃溫度(GWIT)。
